Purification of Antibiotic Produced by Aspergillus sp. YE-2373

Abstract

|
Aspergillus sp. YE-2373 which has strong antibacterial activity was isolated from soil. Its optimum culture condition for the production of the antibiotic was as follows; 3% sucrose, 2% malt extract, 0.2% K©üHPO©þ, 0.05% MgSO©þ¡¤7H©üO, pH 7.0, 30¡É, and 60 hrs culture. The antibiotic from Aspergillus sp. YE-2373 was purified by active carbon adsorption, solvent extraction and silica gel 60 column chromatography, and crystallized.
